High Frequency Ringing

So while driving or braking (car is moving) i hear a high frequency ringing noise. I assumed feedback from all of the electronics (ipod, bluetooth, xm, etc) but i still hear the noise when all of those are turned off. I talked to my dealership and they have never heard of anything - before i leave it with them (permanently if it isn't fixed) - I thought I would check with yall to see if any else has heard of this issue. Thanks!!!

I have what I'd describe as a high pitched whine at about 80 mph and above. It kind of sounds like alternator nose but isn't. It's there even without Bluetooth or audio in use. I too was wondering if I'm the only one. I hear it when cruising at a constant speed of about 80 or above.

I have that same problem.. thought about going to the dealership but I figured that they would tell me that they couldn't hear it and it would be a waste of time on my end.

Mine isn't related to the speakers at all. It does it even with the audio off. It's like an alternoar whine but that's not it. I don't really notice it until I get close to 80 or above. Is anyone else's like this?

mine as well. radio off, climate control off. its like the noise you get when you slide your finger around the edge of a wine glass. very annoying.

Tires? When those Bridgestones get lower they are loud and induce all kinds of road noise into the cabin. If not then maybe blower fan in the AC system.

Mine is neither of those. New tires (the Bridgestones had crazy road noise when they were worn) and it does it with climate control completely off as well. Any other thoughts?

engine whine... you usually only get it, if at all when you install aftermarket equipment. and like someone said above its feedback into the audio. usually it happens when RCAs are ran next to power wires . however does anyone know if infiniti uses fiberoptics or feed through the car digitally? ie MBs and BMWs, etc... im very surprised to see this from a factory equipped stereo. i wouldnt know what else to suggest other then the dealership. ill ask one of my technicians at work tomorrow and try to report back with some possitive info.

but maybe..... by any of you guys have the aftermarket grounding kits installed on your Gs? if so it could possibly be an improper ground at one of the points. thus cuasing it to feedback through the audio somehow. just a thought

I double checked this too. That ain't it. I know what grounding loop noise sounds like and this is different. It's very faint an extremely high pitched. Mine's present and the same with audio on or off.

Appreciated! It's only loud enough to be noticeable at about 80. Faster than that and engine/exhaust noise drowns it out (Tanabe Medallion).
