Steve - I'm currently a Sprint user with no contractual obligation and a 4-yr old phone. I'm looking for the same kind of info (considering switching providers and going with a smartphone for the first time), so if you could, I'd appreciate some impressions like that as well. Thanks!

My wife has an older Razr and she gets the entire phone book with ALL of the advanced features on her BMW. I have a Pearl 8100 and I get none of the advanced features, what gives? But If I switch back to my old (well, not so old) Razr I will get single entry phone book, which means I would have caller ID on my car. Well, since I just got rid of my enterprise data plan Razor it is!

Blackberry Curve 8310 phonebook transfer??

STEP #4: ADDING YOUR CONTACTS TO THE VEHICLE PHONEBOOK

Each paired phone has its own dedicated phonebook.
Each phonebook can store up to 40 contacts.
This device does not support contact transfers via Bluetooth.

I haven't been able to transfer my phonebook to the G...and the instructions above show that it's not possible??

I believe if you have the Nav, you can transfer the phone book with the Curve. If you do not have the Nav, you are out of luck.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 and have transferred my address book. I don't know if it is the same process for the 8310, but when you select "Download Address Book" via Nav, you must also select "Transfer Address Book" via the Bluetooth Options Menu in the Curve. Additionally, you may want to change the default name and passcode for your G via the diagnostic menu from "MY-CAR" "1234" to something else.
