Yea, I'm picking up one of these bad boys tomorrow. Basically from the test results I've seen the V1 does have slightly better detection but when you consider the AI auto blocking of false signals with GPS tie in, redlight and camera database, this IS the best detector out there in the $500 range bar none. The feature set on this detector is simply amazing.

The extra money for the 9500ix isn't worth it IMO

At this price range $50 is change for the added AI luxuries and coverage of redlight and camera traps, but I'd agree the 9500i is nice as well. Also for something you use every day.. the first time it protects you from a Redlight or Camera radar it's paid for.

True, but I'm still very hesitant on the pre-programmed red light camera's. I wanted someone to test it out on the known red light camera's here in NYC just to see if it works, the 9500i does the same thing, but you have to program it in yourself.

Just picked up the 9500ix, very glad to see my ICC didn't set it off..whew, was worried about that, not in the mood to send a new unit in for the "fix." It will be nice to have some protection on my jouney to Forge.
