this is correct. also, with the iphone, if you're playing music and receive a call, it actually PAUSES the music.

the adapter works

In case anyone out there was wondering I ordered the adapter listed in this thread to solve the charging problem. It works great. Good build quality. Everything works like it used to (charging and playback) with my Iphone 2G.

You do have to be careful not to jiggle it. An extra, inline adapter adds length to the whole setup and it does makes it harder to put the phone in the glove box and close it, but it is well worth the money to get this and be able to CHARGE the phone while driving!

where to order

I ordered the adapter from the manufacturer here:

http://home.swipnet.se/ridax/connector.htm?connipod.htm

It arrived safely from Sweden to Chicago in a lightly padded envelope in 6 business days. If you have a 3G Iphone and a G37 you NEED this to charge your phone using the existing Infiniti adapter.

this would be pretty annoying tho:

The adapter doesn't prevent the "accessory not made to work" if this is popping up on your iPhone or iPod when connected directly. Since the charge converter passes through all pins, a device that isn't made to work with the iPhone or iPod will still trigger that message.

to those that bought the adaptor, do you still get the message regardless of being able to charge?
