Auto dimming rearview Mirror

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums, so I'm glad to meet you all .

I have a question, I recently bought the base Model G37, to my surprise it didn't come with an auto-dimming rearview mirror to my surprise. I'm planning to maybe add one to my car if it isn't too hard.

I've been looking everywhere online I can't seem to find any help on this, thanks in advance!

You're going to "add" an auto dimming mirror? Literally? That's going to be expensive...

It's not worth it at all, doesn't even do much, you'll live without it, instead of an auto-dimming rear view mirror get some mods

The feature you seek is part of the premium package, not available on the base G37. The auto-dimming mirror also includes a compass and the Homelink feature. I don’t know if you can upgrade, but it may be worth it.

I see... yea they seem to add all the little cool stuff in that 'premium package'... Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll have to live with it for now.

you can add one quite easily. not sure if it's prewired, but the only tricky part would be finding a 12v power source to tap into. but people hard mount radar detectors up there all the time.

If you want it, get one. It's not a big deal.

Cool, haven't seen this before. I guess it wouldn't be too expensive if you DIY.

Did you ask Infiniti how much it'd cost to install the premium mirror? Just want to know...for kicks...

They told me I would have to replace my windshield because the premium mirror is glued on. Service Rep said approx $2k.
