Radio presets WTF, mate?

Has anyone experienced this? I have the 6 presets set in my car. Using the toggle on the steering wheel to go up and down I noticed that for some reason if I start at the first preset and hit down it goes 1, 2, 3, 4, then back to one. Usually the station selected is high-lighted, but the 4th preset doesn't high-light. If I start at 1 and press up on the toggle, it will hit 6, 5, 4, then back to 6. I can't go straight in order. Did I confuse anyone? I might try re-doing the presets to see if that fixes it.

I'll translate:

"For some odd reason my radio presets are messed up. For example.. When I start at preset 1 and go down... it skips over preset 5 and 6 and goes back to 1.

It does the same thing in the opposite direction. When I start at preset 6 and go in reverse, it'll skip over presets 3,2, and 1.

I might try redoing all my presets and seeing if it fixes it. Anyone else have any suggestions?!"

Your welcome.

Did resetting the presets work for you?

This started happening to me last night. Its pissing me off. Sometimes if I toggle it real fast I can go through all the presets but if I stop on one, the "A1" (or whatever preset it is) turns in to just an "A", then I cant flip through any presets unless I go the other direction, then I can only go to A2 and A3 before it stops again.

It happened to me yesterday as well for about the 3rd time since I got the car... Simply resetting your presets works fine. Still annoying though.

Guess I'm not the only person experiencing this problem. Whenever I get to A1, it doesn't allow me to switch channels using the toggle on the steering wheel. I have to manually push the buttons on the radio to change preset. I'll try resetting all my presets and see if that will fix the problem.

Thanks,
Rai

What the heck? This just happened to me too for the first time... Crazy how a lot of "first-timers" with this problem all experienced it yesterday... Kinda FREAKY IMO... So re-setting the presets should fix it? I was gonna take it to the dealer....

Yup that works... There is a TSB out on it, but I can't track down the PDF document.

there's also a thread on this same subject a few months old already... do a search. Best we could come up with at that time was the same thing as you guys figured out...

Set the preset to another station, then back to the original.

Happened to me twice in a year of having the vehicle. Not that big of a problem...

Yeah mine started acting up yesterday too.. weird.. but resetting the presets yesterday didn't fix it. Haven't driven the car today to check but might have to take it in for service next week before I leave for NM
