Question about Music Box

Section 4-51 of the owner's manual states :

If titles are not displayed for CDs that have
been recorded, titles can be acquired using
one of the following methods:

Ð Retrieve from HDD
Searches the title using the database in
the hard disk.

Retrieve from CF
Searches the title from the information
acquired on the Internet. Visit www.infiniti.
com for details.

Ð Transfer Missing Titles to CF
Transfers the information of the album
recorded without titles to a Compact-
Flash card. Visit
www.infiniti.com for details.

so does that mean that the hard drive already has album/track information stored in it ?

Yes, it has a lot of information in it already. If the album is new, you need to do the CF shuffle.

Works fine and only takes a minute

Beats not being able to have any clue what the album/artist/titles are

Once you do it the first time, it really only takes a brief minute to do for other albums.

The music box can use either the Gracenote CD Data Base which is on the hard drive or CD TEXT to retrieve the CD info. Under Music Box Settings their is a Title Text Priority option which can be set to CDDB or CD TEXT. If you use iTunes and have all your music labeled you shouldn't have a problem using CD TEXT priority.

Make sure under preferences>CD burning tab in Itunes you have "Include CD Text" enabled. I beleive this is in iTunes 7 only. When making the playlist to be burned label the playlist the same as the album title.
