move the seats forward and look under them.

mine fell out of my pocket once and ended up there. under one of the rails that the seat slides on.

I can close my trunk with the key fob in it. Afterwards, you can't open the trunk with the button on the left tail light, either. Gotta open it with the button to the left of the steering wheel.

You know that its inside the car and within 3 feet of the ignition. It is either under the seat or in the abyss between the seat and console. Go find it.

It has to be under one of the seats. The driver side is a mess so you might check under there but it could be a pain to find.

I had this problem before. I placed my keys/fob in the little container between the shifter and cup holder. The person who drove my car through the car wash must have bumped into it while cleaning the interior and I was stuck at the car wash for 15 minutes. It was stuck between the center console and the passenger seat. It was all the way at the bottom, we had to a hanger to pull it out.

Hope this helps.

UPDATE.

The fob is still missing. I checked through everything again tonight for a couple hours. Took a yard stick and crammed it through under the seat. No luck.

Even took a road that is bumpy as crap at about 50-60 when the speed limit is 20 thinking I might knock it loose. No luck.

Leaned the seats all the way back and you can get your hand all up in crack between the two pieces.....nothing back/down there but wiring. Still nothing.

I did find a new 'key' though.....pulled the IGNITION SWITCH fuse. So at least now no one can steal my car....just the crap in my car.

My only idea is to remove the seats. Anyone done this or know how?

Thanks!!

went through a similar situation when I first got my car except I was at a rest stop on I-95. Took me a good hour to find the key which was wedged up under the driver's site. It didn't help that the fob was black and I have a black interior. good luck dude.
