Low Fuel Warning

Does the G37 have a low fuel warning? If so where is this warning and at what point will it come on? I filled up at the tank the other day for 17 gallons and still did not have a light or indicator on. I did not want to push the car any further on fuel to see if an indicator would turn on.

thanks

there is one it comes out on your center console happens when you are near 30miles remaining on your current driving habit if you drive WOT a lot it will come on sooner than if you were cruising it would leave around 3gallons in the tank if your driving wot it leaves about 5gallons in the tank but will indicate you are low on gas

vinny you suck at reading i swear to god. it all depends on the way you drive. god forbid you need to think outside of school just calculate how you are driving to how many gallons you got left and to be on the safe side say you have 2-3gallons when that --- comes up and multiply it to the Previous MPG you were getting. if you drive like an a$$hole you have about 5-4gallons

my g35 would give you a warning and gas station nearby. I am not sure if the g37 does the same. I have driven on empty and havent seen a warning on my navi screen.

I like to fuel my tank as close to empty as possible... That fuel warning is worthless in my opinion because I drove 35 miles past the blinking point (where it doesn't tell you how many miles to empty) and when I filled-up, I still had more than 2 gallons left in the tank (our tank has 20 gal capacity) so it's easy to do the math!

My suggestion, test it and see for yourself. It's not that hard to figure it out! First, refuel as soon as it hit the light, and see how many gallons are left in the tank.

Yeah, I know the math.

20 GAL * $5.00 P/GAL = $100.00

I digress though, it's worth it.

Why would anyone want to wait so long to have to reach deep into their pockets to fill our cars up at a cost of $100? I generally get gas at 1/2 a tankful and sometimes at 1/4 just for the psychological feeling of seeing $25-$45 instead of $80!
But I'm also quite OCD.

Ha, this attitude always makes me laugh. It is the same as my father in law, who believes that by filling up when with half a tank left or more, his car is cheaper to fill up and run. I somewhat understand the psychological impact of more than $70 at the pump, but in all seriousness you are only kidding yourself. The cost of fuel for the car can be measured by mpg and distance commuted, not how much it costs to refill at the pump when it psychologically suits you!
