System (front stage) is finally in and completed!
Will link to some pics once Don gets me the photo bucket link. Not only did my man Don hook me up with the equipment, but also installed my front stage. Came through in a big way considering I gave him like 2 days notice that I needed my car for a trip.
Anyways, ended up putting in an all Dynaudio front stage. 10" (MW182) in the doors, 3" (MD140) in the upper doors and MD102's in the sail panels. Yes, the tweets can be made to fit in the sails panels with some fine fabrication and are completely stock looking. MW182's fit in well with a mounting baffle. and last but not least, a Dyn MD140/142 or a DLS IR3 3 inch midrange can fit in the stock location of this car and anybody who tels you it can't, is full of ****z. Just keep in mind that you will need to cut sheet metal! But, it's double sheet and looks and sounds great. BTW Don, I like the !40 better than the IR3.
I did have my 12W3 in the back, but decided to pull it out since the 180's play low and with enough authority to do so. Space was a problem and I felt it wasn't worth it. I have decided to do an IB set up with the Dyn's 190's and save a whole lot of space.
Keep in mind, as Don can surely attest to, Murphy's law was running rampid and I still have some electrical and noise issues. Besides that one of my Zapco amps was problematic and has to be sent back in to Zapco. My amp and DSP6 are only mounted temporarily and not pic worthy so I will wait till I am done with my false floor and new layout before I post back end shots. Subs will be coming in a month or so! Don, get ready!
