Hey everyone, just an issue/question. Our G37's nav address book has some stored addresses in it that are set to use arrival sounds when arriving at the destination. When you get to the destination, the sound plays. However, whenever we are not using the navigation and arrive at the destination, many times the sound still plays anyway.

For example, we have a sound set to play for the address book entry "Home." But now many times when we come home and are not using the nav, the sound plays. It doesn't happen everytime, but it happens a lot. It's only supposed to play when using the nav guidance to arrive at the destination, right?

I know the easy fix is to just deselect the sounds from the entries that have a sound assigned to them, but this should not be happening. Obviously this feature is not working correctly. Anyone else experience this? Can the dealer fix it?

By the way, we have the "new" nav version with the "simplified commands" if that matters at all.

 

By new Nav version you're saying the "dumbed down" version, correct? NOT the one that was on the demo G37's, correct?

 

Correct. We have the "dumbed down" version, unfortunately.

 

My "home" dings everytime... however it usually dings about .5 to 1 mile from my house. This is on the 06-07 ver nav, and it happens if im using the navigation or not.

 

Mine always plays the sound, using Nav or not. Thats how its supposed to work.
