I'm about to pull the trigger on a G37 lease. Looking at the manual, they don't advise using the cig lighter socket for anything other than the lighter. I assume then that a detector must be plugged into the aux outlet. Does this outlet shut off when the ignition is turned off? I don't like having to manually turn the detector off each time I leave the car.

Works fine plugged into the lighter, all of them turn off with the car.
