Navigation Update May 2008

I've read all arguments. The bottom line is this: people have come to expect to pay ONCE for GPS hardware and related software and data that is kept current. This is now the standard, regardless of delivery platform. Some companies will try to milk you for data updates, just as some cell phone providers try to charge subscriptions for GPS data (which the US gov provides for free, i.e. the taxpayers already bought it).
I won't play along. If I can't get a data update through official means, I obtain it through other means--call it stealing if you like. It will likely be convenient to do so and others will follow suit. Companies will either keep with the times, or **** off their customers who will get what they want anyway. They risk not getting the same customer the next time around.

I think I may start a new thread on how much I hate the voice recognition system - Im growing more upset by the day! I hated my M35 system now i miss it. Infiniti is going backwards - are you engineers listening? How about the Lawyers? you think limiting my phonebook and address choices to 5 is keeping us safe?
