So... anyone with the fix?

It seems like EX35 has the same problem.

Thanks for the link Silver. I guess its not just the G37 models. i like the one solution posted by the dealer stating to "just turn up the radio." HAHAHA!!! i guess if the engine breaks down we should just start taking the bus. =P

i knew i wasnt the only one hearing this!

isn't this sad?

So.. it seems like few people have this problem, and some have it and not know about it.

If it's true that some car doesn't make this noise, I want it fix that way!

I'm gonna call the dealership and see what they can do about it tomorrow when they open again. I have the '09 with hi tech package and the noise is not fun to hear. I hope they can fix it

I have had a ringing sound like that before.. high pitched whistling noise. Like the kettle is cooking. I found out that there is a TINY hole between the sealing of the left front window and the "black" plastic piece of the left mirror. So apparently the window is not 100% sealed closed and the wind getting through the tiny hole when I drive is making that irritating constant noise whenever the car is moving.

I fixed it and the noise went away. My car has no noise interior whatsoever. Maybe you can close shut ur windows, close the door, stand outside and check with a keen eye for any "holes" whatsoever. Of course it will not be likely u have the same problem I had too. Good luck!

Woh, that's totally different from what others are mentioning, but nonetheless a good thing that you were able to identify the problem and fix it. How did you fix it?

yes it was driving my crazy and it took me a long time to find the source since the noise is "everywhere" and u cant even pinpoint the direction it came from. I took it to a body shop and they redid my windows.

I don't think the other people in this thread have the problem as me but u never know.. im just glad everything is perfect now.

Well, good thing they found the problem. My buddy works at the dealership so I'll take it to his tech's and print a couple pages of this thread to better guide them

Thought you guys should know, my new 370Z is doing this also, high pitched whine. Car doesn't have to be running. Hit the button twice to turn on all electrical and it starts whining immediately. After I posted this in the 370 forum I frequent, others stepped up and said they have the issue also. I get headaches from this type of thing. I had a computer monitor at work years ago that did it and finally they swapped it out. No fix or acknowledgement from Nissan/Infiniti yet?

Update

Update:

I have isolated what I am hearing, it's coming from the engine bay, under the engine cover. I noticed when I rolled the windows up it was less pronounced. Got outside the car and could hear it coming from the engine bay, raised the hood and voila, it's emanating from under the engine cover.
