Crackling noises from behind dash center

Sounds like there is a squirrel cracking nuts behind the center console headunit sometimes... Wondering if anyone else is getting the same sounds?

Yep - same here. Very annoying but temperature related. My old Lexus used to do this but nowhere near as frequent or as loud as my G.

I heard it too. I think it is the "silver-ish" overlay material on the dash (around the stereo and AC controls). If you take your finger and run it along the silver overlay (push a little hard), you can hear the sound. It bugged me for a long time. I think it is the overlay just expanding/contracting due to changes in temperature.
