Having a hard time deciding on a sub

I am trying to decide what sub to put in my car. I am going to get the zenclosure box for the g37, and probably a elemtal design nine.1 amp, but i am inbetween getting 2 image dynamics id10v.3 or 2 jl audio w3v3. Honestly i dont know much on audio systems so im just looking for some input to help me make a decision.

I like JL but I don't know what a good setup on that box would be. There are some audio experts here that should be able to help you.

I discovered these today. I might try one of the LXU 10's out in my 4080 because the price is right.

JL audio does have some good SQ BUT !! Image dynamics has sooo much better SQ. The IDMAX has more of the thump and can hit harder but for SQ i would go with ID. I have right now have a 12w7 and I love it but for better SQ I would go with my IDMAX that I have in my other car.

JL's are over priced. Diamond Audio and Image Dynamics makes some real good subs as well, for most likely a lot cheaper, if not half the price.

how much do you want to spend on a sub??

there is

ID subs, http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/

SI subs, http://stereointegrity.com/index.php

Rainbow subs. http://www.rainbow-audio.de/

Hertz subs. http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm

if you realy want SQ, you should make the box based on the subs.
you cannot put what ever sub you want in that box, most are going to sound like ***.

BTW: whats the ENCLOSURE SPECIFICATIONS for that box??,

JL is the better sub, but more so you should check the cubic air space of the box first. The W3 may require more airspace than the box has, in which case you'd be better matched to drop to a JLW1, less power handling but your not going to get the sound you want just by going with a more badass version of the sub. Airspace plays a huge roll in the sound. I think those boxes on ebay are better set up for the JL W1, Kicker are the best subs for small space. if you go with a CVR or something you'll save some good coin and still get a good output from it. And if need be you can drop down to the regular Comp from Kicker, Solobarics and W6's and 7's are going to need too much airspace for you application.
