I've never used aim........i know i'm living in the ice age.......and the wifey is at work so I couldn't even call you now if I wanted.....

I guess I'll try to get my friend to do it or figure out how get aim and use it tomorrow and shoot you a PM......thanks!

Thanks to zibri this process is alot easier now.

here is what you do.


1. upgrade your phone to 1.1.4(just so you have the latest firmware)

2. download zibris all in one tool link here(http://download.ziphone.org/)
(windows or mac...which ever you have)

3.plug in your iphone, open the tool and unzip it, then run it

4.zibris tool is prety self explanitory but click the jailbreak Iphone button
(its the 3rd button down...im assuming you dont want to unlock it for other carriers in which case you would click the first button)

5.It should take a min or so, then once its done it will reboot itself and now on your screen you should have an installer icon. If you dont see it do step 4 again...

6. once you get the installer icon, then update it, the install BSD subsystem, along with all of erica utilities.

7.install the other sources(will be in the source category)

8. next install summerboard(not the one that says old)

9.then install some summerboard themes

10. install the summerboard theme fix patch

11. viola!!!! you have a new theme on your iphone!

11. you can do trial and error with the rest of the apps for the phone. i recommend mxtube which lets you dl youtube movies and keep them on your phone...

whats version 2.0 all about? whats coming in june?

im looking for an iphone to get very very soon.. i have tmobile so unlocking is a possibility

version 2.0 is going to open the iphone to 3rd party developer apps with a security certificate to allow people to install their apps "securely" and legally through apple. Aside from that there are plenty of upgrades we expect to see in the upcoming firmware like ms active sync abilities and such.DOMO

Are they going to have themes available in 2.0 or just apps?

im assuming the dev that developed the summerboard app and the dev the made the customize app will send them along their merry way to apple for distirbution being that they are prob the most used apps on the iphone so i would say yea the themes should also be available

hey ultimate, im gonna be purchasing an apple iphone thats locked. (4gb for 280$ brand new). is that a rip off? also, can you walk me through unlocking when i get it?

apparently there's a newer app called iPlus 2.0 that does a better job of jailbreaking 114 than ziphone. it JB's, installs Installer, Summerboard, BSDSubsystem, fixes, etc all in about 10 minutes.

maybe look into that one. oh, it'll unlock as well.
