new nanos compatible?
are the new video ipod nanos compatible with the car? i know the standard ipod and standard nanos work. anyone using the newer nanos please reply.
edit: i think vista corrupted my 80 gig ipod. after syncing the ipod with my new computer (running vista) the ipod connects, but does not play. i know it is not the car or the connection because i tested my gf's nano and hers syncs up fine. the 80 gig still plays through the headphones, but does not sync with the car anymore.

I could be completely talking out of my @ss right now.....but I seem to recall someone saying that you had to "flip" two of the RCA cables to get a standard cable to work. I'll see if I can't find the post.

Ok...it was in the sticky post about ipod video cables.
"For the 4G (iPod photo, iPod w/Color Screen) and 5G (iPod Video) models, you can use a commonly-available camcorder video cable. The left cable is correct, but you have to swap the right cable and the video cable for it to work correctly. See the attached pics where I use a Radio Shack camcorder cable to output video from my 5G iPod to the car. Note the cable order in the pic without the RCA plugs in use and look at the order with them plugged in to see how to attach the plugs to get the audio and video to play correctly."
You can try this trick, but I believe the new nanos are "6th gen", which do not work with regular cables.

Yup those work as well.. Dont have to turn it on airplane mode or anything.. If you get a call the music fades out and your ringtone will fade in and play through all the speakers... Also if you get a text the music fades to quiet for a second and then goes back to normal level
