Hey thanks for all your help iasskicker,

but i just took it to a local audio shop for them to wire up. Cost me $130...i know i got raped but he knew what he was doing. All he had to do was wire up the amp & sub. Also got charged $30 for the trigger module.

I did all this in my garage in under 2 hours, the longest was tapping the rcas in.
BTW, amp upgrade is in my near future: Diablo Audio Technologies 2500.1 is coming soon!

But anyways, glad to hear that it is sounding good. BTW, just wondering what kind of wire they used (4 or 0 for power)?

I was asking questions but this was the first time i have ever tried to install a sound system with no prior knowledge of audio whatsoever. Got everything done except for wiring up the amp.

As for the wire, im not sure but i used the one that came in the kit.

Question: Did you guys use silicone to seal the hole you made in the fire grommet?

Well I didn't have a choice lol. It was either do it myself or get my car raped by a shop (wasn't letting that happen to my baby!)
But I got it perfect 0 problems to speak of besides my amp getting hot at low impedances (cursed hifonics!)

Since I used thick gauge I actually put a piece of duct tape on there and silicones over that. 0 leaks!

Definitely! Other wise the passenger side of your car will be soaked when it rains.

i will try and take pics as i go...and mate them to your DIY (if u dont beat me to it)...it will probably be another 3-4 weeks before i get it done (still trying to figure out a good solution for a box...i like the 4080 box but way too pricey...and everything else wont clear the roughly 10'' height clearance that would allow me to but a box right up against the rear seat (i need to retain trunk space)

I used the Zenclosures box. Fits fine and theres still room in the trunk. Heres some pics of oOmikeyboy's setup. I hope he doesn't mind. I have the same exact setup has he does and let me tell u it bumps!

I'm gonna build 1.75 cube box that fire in soon, And fits flush with the end of the wheel well sealed off from the rest of the trunk. TBH, I don't see how that sounds good at all, looks like the sub is drowning out because it's sealed from the cabin, sealed from the trunk will always get louder.
