I'll most likely mount the amp in the location of the existing Bose amps underneath the trunk trim on the driver side. When you remove the floor and spare, you'll find that the plastic around the spare that makes the base of the floor can be removed. Under there is where the Bose amps are. Should be enough room and ventilation space for a nber of decent amps to fit under there.

It's a pretty small area under there where the stock bose amp is. I'm thinking the alpine PDX series will work because of it's small size.

doesn't the fact that you are putting a new amp and the bose amps in a small area compound the heat problem?

Just wondering about where to mount my amp myself.....

I think i'm gong to try to get one of the 4080 custom enclosures.

I'm looking for something that just fills my music out, not something to shake my mirrors loose.

Just use a fan or maybe your amp has internal fans.

I will be taking those plastic wells under the floor out. I will be building an amp rack and a sub enclosure that will all fit underneath the current floor, stealthily! This is the best solution IMHO since I will have full use of the already minuscule space we have in the trunk. If you mount it on the back seat, you might into problems if you ever need to lay something long through the lay down seats.

Keep in mind though that I want full function of my trunk and two 12W3's a Zapco AG650 amp and another soon to be purchased 4 channel amp, just would take up my whole trunk space. I use to do that, but need the trunk for too much family ****z to do tha now.
