Please do take some pics. According to the service manual, the only thing on the right side of the trunk is the camera control unit. Are you sure you are seeing the XM receiver and not that?
On cars without navigation the sat receiver and TEL adapter unit are mounted in the same spot that the camera control unit is on the nav cars. I wonder if they didn't use the same wiring harness for both cars (which would explain the "extra" connector)?

In any event... it works!
I ran the antenna onto the inside rear decklid between the two bose speakers. Can't even really see it...

Not sure what to tell you. As you can see in the pics, the bose system with nav does not have an external receiver. This was verified by Grubbs, by a tech at the local Infiniti dealer, and by me tearing my car apart. So please post pics if you can. No one wants this to work more then me.....it's killing me that I'm going to have to mount a radio somewhere on my dash/ windshield.

Pics for the non-believers...
Remember... your dealer's service department is full of morons. Half the time they're just oil change jockeys and if the service manual doesn't say it works, it doesn't.

Nice taste in music . Those two, along with Faction, are some of my favorite stations.
Grats on getting it done..... I guess I'll just chalk it up to the difference between the G37 and G35

That's what I did with my aftermarket unit. The reception is great (full bars on satellite reception, though the terrestrial signal is a little low.....not sure if that's my location or not...never had one that measured the terrestrial signal before).

So to recap: This WILL work with NAV? Run addtional Antenna to rear decklid. Did you leave the (XM) reciever plugged in? Where did you mount the Sirius reciever?
Thanks for this upgrade, I'll be down to Grubbs this weekend...
Hate the XM...

Not finding this connector on Service Manual (looking at av.pdf) Scratch that....found it
Duh...im getting it now. So NAV cars should not have a SAT radio mounted in the trunk (thus the reason for extra harness). So, how does the Head display choose sirius instead of XM?

I have the NAV option. THIS WORKS!!!!
Ok went to Grubbs this weekend and purchased a Sirius radio. Bullitt is indeed correct about pigtail plug under the RH trunk. it comes off the Rear Camera unit for those with NAV.
Installed unit, ran antenna up through the seats to the rear decklid, registrered service...BAM!!! have Sirius displyed on NAV screen.
Happy now, as I let XM radio and traffic expire...
