Ohhhh
I guess my situation is that I'm trying to save money. Yes you can install the best of sirius on your XM radio, however, Sonos, only allows sirius subscriptions (for satellite radio) on their device. My issue is that i need to keep a sirius subscription in order to use it on my sonos. My old car has sirius. If I remove sirius from my old car, then i lose my sonos sirius. So i thought I'd put my sirius in my new car, so i can keep siius on my sonos.... I wish Sonos would allow XM, then I could easily just cancel Sirius, and have one XM account for my Acura, G37, and my home. Grrrrr

Maybe it doesnt work with a 2009 G37
Hi guys, I have the G37X with Nav and Bose. I for the life of me see no plug sitting on the tight side of the trunk to plug the sirius receiver into. Here's the pics. Let me know if Im doing anything wrong.

Not sure this will help, but here is some info from my install on a 2008 and what I had to do to the antenna plug to get it to clip in. Some pictures are in the post that may help. Good luck.

Unfortunately I do not have that gear in my trunk. On the left there is Bose equipment sitting on a heatsink, and on the right there is only a single box as noted in the pictures. I think thats the voice or camera control unit. Anyways they state in the other pists that if you have nav, which I do, there should be another unused connector on the right side of the trunk taped up that will fit the unit. I tore everything apart, but I dont see this ANYWHERE.

So this guy is full of it? I have read other peoples post and say they did the swap and have NAV units. did maybe the 2009 model get the Xm Tuner built into the head unit?
I tried 3 different antennas with no luck. FYI to anyone who wants to try this. I was able to locate my connector and install the unit by simply lifting the trunk mats from my car.
I have a '08 with Nav. There is an opening in the trunk floor panel above and to the right of where the jack is stored. This opening is large enough to reach in and locate the pigtail.
I simply cut the tape holding it down, pulled it out of the opening, plugged it in. The entire unit fit through the opening. I ran the antenna under the carpet and up to the rear window sill. Very simple.

The thing is all NAV based models have the XM built into the head unit. The non NAV units had the XM in the trunk. In the NAV models, the wiring was therefore set up to take the XM receiver, but being that the XM tuner is in the headunit, there was just a plug there with nothing attached to it.
I state that in the 2009 model, they no longer have the plug just sitting there to plug the sirius into.
Hope that helps.
P.S. - Im still waiting from someone to show me where the plug was exactly in therir 08 G37 with nav. No forum seems to have that pic.
