intelli cruise control goes haywire if i turn vdc off
if i turn the intelli cruise control option on (car doesnt necessarily have to be set on cruise control) and then turn vdc off.. the car length markers disappear on my dash and the rest of the little cruise control window starts flashing non stop until i turn intelli off. turning vdc back on makes no diff. whats going on here?

That is correct- if you turn VDC off, the intelligent cruise control will not work. Intelligent cruise works in tandem with VDC to make sure the vehicle is safe.

I think we had a discussion about this in thr G37 Sedan fourm a few months back. Some people could get the ICC to work with wipers, others couldn't. No one got the ICC to work with VDC off.

I remembered reading this and decided to give it a try this weekend. Much to my surprise ICC worked in pouring rain with the wipers going full tilt. My car may be a freak of nature. I had issues with the ICC module before and it was 'repaired' about three times already but I guess this is one of the setting that they may have missed (not that I'm complaining). I didn't try turning VDC off but I will to see if that turns the ICC off.
