Exclamation Please need help with connecting new ipod

I have a new iPod touch and connected the iPod to the connection that comes with my car but all it does is charge. So I bought the new component av cables that I saw in an another post in the forum and not sure how to make it work. I plugged them in and nothing happens. Please can anyone tell me how to connect it right and make it work. Thanks

Did you switch it to iPod (press Aux Disc button until its says iPod). If its charging then the cord is obviously not bad... Don't know what to tell you..

That's interesting. It needs to be on the AUX port but the weird thing is that when I hook up my IPod it goes directly to that input even I am on another one. At least the radio for sure, not sure about the MusicBox or CF if it changes since I rarely use those.

If you actually did buy the Apple component cables, then you got the wrong one. You need the composite cables (red, yellow, white). You then plug them to the auxiliary ports in the car and then go to the AUX source.

When you're using Infiniti's iPod cable, the audio source should change automatically to iPod. Sometimes you will need to unplug and replug the cable since it's a bit quirky.
