Specific Radar Thread/Question

I know there is a Long radar detector thread... But I wanted some specific opinions on some things...

I have a Bel Vector 985 and am either going to upgrade or by a cord to hard the bel vector.

1. I am looking at a stealth hidden radar detector(Id prefer but high price). The ones with the mounted sensors in the front license and rear license and the Display hidden around the speedo or dash or wherever... examples passport SR7 and the Bel Vector 975R Radar Detector... Price is high on those compared to regular ones also...
Does anyone have any experience with these or comments? any advice on these will be helpful

2. If I dont go that route I am looking at the Valentine1 or the passport 8500 x50. What are the thoughts on these?

3. Option 3...Keep my bel vector 985... it doesnt have a phone jack input... Where can I find a wire to hard wire it?

Thanks for the help in advance... questions are in bold

I've owned the normal 8500 along with 2 previous Escorts before that. Some of my closest friends own the 8500 X50. We all switched to the V1 and none of us regret it one bit. To me, the V1 wins hands down. Nothing like having arrows to tell you where the radar is coming from (although I will give Escort a thumbs up for the digital display). ValentineOne is an excellent company to deal with. I had a slight problem with my windshield mount and they sent out a replacement the same day, no questions asked.

Its sickening to plop down $400 on a radar, but its worth it in this case. The upgrade program they have is also a very big plus.

I totally understand where your coming from... I really wish they would update the look of it... its soo not sleek or cool lookin....
But for 400 bones... Id like to throw some to it and get the hidden ones where you mount the sensors in the grille and the rear license plate...

If i get a Normal one it will be either the Beltronics Bel RX65 Pro or the Val1... The bel has everything and its half the money of the Val1. This is almost has hard as my sub/amp/box combo choice... at least there fun decisions

V1 all the way. The arrows and long distance detection are the best features of the V1.

Check out the test of radars @ Radar Detector Test

when a laser is shot at my car at either the front or back of the car the shifter take the beam and shift it upwards so the laser can not go back to the guy and no speed can be calculated...
