NOTE:
• Unless you have/install the Mega app, you can only download with Chrome.
• Files can only be opened in Windows using Macrium Reflect. (there is a free version)
Please correct me if I'm wrong

Oh yeah, they are Macrium files. And yea, it's free. Macrium compresses it a bit so I was able to get it small enough to upload. And I think you are right about the Chrome thing as well.
Oh, and if anyone was wondering, I 2014 HDD in a 2008 HU does not boot (obviously lol, i just figured i'd see what happens)

For clarity, the HDD that I sent iCrap was from a 2014 Q60 (still G37 Coupe). I doubt there is much, if any difference, between Coupe/ Sedan/ 'Vert, but...
I'm glad you were able to access the HDD. I guess I had a defective headunit which is why it never booted up for me... In any case, happy tinkering everyone!

Aside from some potentially newer map data I don't think there would be any appreciable difference. I would imagine that these drives were all mass produced at nearly the same time with the specific vehicle configuration applied as each car rolled off the production line.

I have a firmware update disk iso another member provided back in oct. 2017. I don't recall what the version on it is but it did resolve my mp3/nav/reboot issue on longer routes. It's just disk 0, no map/data disks. It accepted my original map data without issue.

I am at Bluetooth version E0420 (doesn't work well) and this has an update to E0450... I may need to clone my drive (just to be safe) and apply this update....

^^Glad it worked for you. I tend to keep stuff for years and years (current storage around 80TB in this box). At some point it may be useful. I didn't have an opportunity to backup the original. Didn't want to take the dash/unit apart. In fact, up until that time I didn't even know if the dvd drive worked. All media has always been played back from usb flash drives.
