speaker problem

hi, i was just wondering if anyone else noticed that the two big speakers below the rear windshield (above the backseats) in their g37 had very low volume coming out of them, even when adjusted from the console to have all the sound come out of the rear? i'm not sure if it's meant to be like that or if mine is just defective. for reference, i have the bose premium.

I was wondering the same thing. It doesn't seem to be loud enough coming from the back speakers. Anyone know why???

The way a real sound stage in a car should be set up is with all the music coming from the front with only a little filler in the rear so it doesn't sound so one dimensional. If you go to a concert most of the speakers are in the front, and that is what they are replicating.
The way that the stereo is set up is you only have 4 channels coming from the radio. The amp splits up the signal to the other speakers and it is set up so that you will only get so much sound out of those speakers.
Essentially if you fade the signal only to the rear you are only attenuating the front speakers not boosting the rears.

Thats enough for today class!!

Do you have driver sound stage on or off. I think that since it is a component speaker system tht may also have something to do with it. I think that only low frequencies are coming from back there.

Has anyone had issues with speaker crackle from the tweeters? I have started noticing it a lot especially during songs with distortion guitars - I haven't even turned the volume up anywhere close to 100% even once.

i haven't heard any crackling. everything is very clear, it's just that there's barely any sound coming out of the 2 rear speakers above the backseats.
