The first lady that i talked to was an old hag and said that she doesn't know any special promotions. I called the second time and told them about the "zwinback" code and it worked just fine. Now my XM is back.

I got an even better deal. They called me and I told them it was too expensive to renew so they gave it to me for $4.99 a month.

I hopped on a 5 month trial for 19.99 earlier this year. It just ended recently, so I called XM to cancel since I'll subscribe again later when they release new subscription packages. The lady tried to get me to buy XM at MFR price, which of course I politely declined. Then she offered me a 3 month subscription for the price of one month. I gave it some thought, but politely declined again. Then she just said the hell with it and gave me 3 more months for free. Hahahha, I guess they're hoping I forget so the subscription defaults to the regular price.

Got the flyer for..

5 months @ $4.00
3 months @ $4.50
12 months @ $6.48

Made up some BS saying I wasn't working but wanted to 1 year..but couldn't afford $6.48/month, but liked the $4.00 pricing. Asked for $4.00 a month for a year, negotiated that to $5.18

Our billing notice from XM stated if we wanted to continue the service to pay $36 for the 3-month trial service....

That's what I understood and tossed it out. Maybe they'll send another notice.

XM/Sirius new channels

Hey Guys,

Anyone have any luck renewing from currrent "zwinback" code to have the newly addded channels?

I want to "try" it before I get it added but everytime I call XM I get the worst customer service.

thoughts?

Just called today - tried the $5 a month thing - didn't work. Got the $77 a year deal - although they were somewhat reluctant to give it to me - but after I said that I'm probably going to cancel - they agreed.

SHHHHHHH... Keep it on the DL but when I called XM because I couldn't get the channels when I first got my car, they looked up my radio ID and it was already assigned to someone else in a g35 that pre-paid the year.. the kid at xm asked me if i knew him and I said no and he was like well I've never seen this before... I told him i don't care if it's prepaid for a year I just want it to work and he said he would leave it as is and send me a refresh signal... the trial should have been up about two months ago and it still works. Pretty sweet deal!

XM $77 for 12 months

I received the phone call from XM saying that my trial period was going to expire next week. She asked me if i wanted to renew, I said NO. She started telling me about the merger with Sirius (now in effect). I then mentioned that I had received an add that stated I could continue service for 12months/$77. She said that they dont offer that plan often (but it does exist). She then asked me that if I wanted to renew for $77!! I then said, SURE!!! IT WAS THAT EASY FOR ME!!
