My 3 month trial was just a week shy of expiring so I figured it was a good time to call.

The first call I made was to 1-800-998-7900 and the lady said I was not eligible for any type of discounts, I said I'd let the service expire without renewing.

Then I called the number on my renewal form 866-409-0296 and asked for the "half price offer", she said she couldn't help me but would transfer me to a dept. that could. I was transfered and i asked for the "half price offer". After getting my information he said no problem. Then i asked for traffic and $12.95 back for letting them auto-renew (CC on file) at the end of a year. They said they would invoice me first so I would know it was being auto-renewed.

In the end I got the 12 month XM radio for $77 + 3.99/mo for traffic - 12.95 for auto-renewal.

Total: $111.93/yr or $9.33/mo

Thanks for everyone's tips on here!!!

Keep an eye open guys! After getting the $77 and 3.99 nav for 13 months they over charged my credit card by $65 and now I'm getting the run around from customer service. They are saying all their servers are down now, so I have to call back in the morning but I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

they called me today at work to let me know that my trial period was expiring. she told me she could do 1 year for 145 for just the xm. I told her about the $77 offer I heard about and she said she could honor that. She then threw in the nav traffic for $3.xx/month. I think it was about $124 for everything for 1 year. I was very clear with her that I did not want this to roll over after my year expired. I know how companies like to auto-charge your credit card for another term.

How do you guys know when your trial is expiring?

My car was used as a auto-show car and the satellite radio and traffic were working from the day I got, no information required on my part. Is that normal?

they'll send you letters. they wouldn't want to loose a potential subscription that easily.
