It's a risk you take in some areas like LA and Manhatten. You don't always have a choice, but that's what we have car insurance for.

This is very true the only good thing is that every time I valet my car they always park it right in front so dont have to worry about them driving it far.

I also note the mileage. It's unlikely that they service people are going to go joy riding in your car. They have better things to do... like work. If you still don't feel comfortable, stay there and wait while they do the work so that you can monitor, but I wouldn't be worried about it at an Infiniti Dealership.
Ehhh, I don't know about that. The day before I bought my car, I saw someone who looked like an Infiniti service mechanic driving a G35 sedan with no plates at WOT, and I really doubt it was his car. Of course, I know there is certain work that requires test driving, but this guy could have definitely done that without going 70 on a 40 zone.

Good advice though, I will definitely have a visual inspection done by a supervisor if I drop my car off...although he could just as easily deny things IF someone were to happen to your car.

I think the whole process to valet the car i.e. flick the switch then lock everything and so on it just dumb. it should be when you remove the fob from the key the trunk automatically will not open and the glove compartment should lock automatically also... that would be cool

LOL, I understand you guys dont want no one to drive your car and what not but... honestly if you just tipped the valet when you pulled up your car will stay up front and you dont have to worry about stupid **** happening... LOL i worked valet for over 3 years.. and the most i see is expensive cars with cheap owners!! Go self park and walk in the cold with your wife if you cant afford valet service...

P.S. 2 dollars isnt worth the risk... drop 10 or something on the way in...

I valet my car everywhere and never have a single problem... but i also tip 10 on the way in and 10 on the way out... usually the valet will pamper my car more than me... just a little help for you tight wads out their...

One of my friend Valets at a Casino, they see Lambo's Ferrari's and the Works, of course when a 20 year old kid like my friend sees one, his eyes open up and he has to at least let it roar. I would take the $10 tip and still Roar the hell out of a Lambo haha

Where is the switch in the glove box?

Where is the switch in the glove box to lock the trunk in valet mode? I must be blind but I do not see it.

It is almost impossible to see from the driver seat, but it is on the side of the glovebox closest to the passenger door and almost at the very top of the opening.

Agree, the technology to do that is already here. May be nobody came up with the idea or it is too $$$.

Correct, rather go to Lincoln and park there. Besides, the walk is good for you.

Freakin' dealership porter scrubbed one of my front rims while I had my G37s in for her 1st oil change recently. Really ticked me off. I didn't see it at first and had her parked all weekend. When I saw it, I took her back in and right up front the service tech told me..."yep....we saw that....I'm really sorry that happened and of course we'll happy to take care of it for you."...which they did.

I too never give my keys up except when required for service....and it still makes me very nervous.
