Yeh I like BASS! I don't compete or anything but everything sounds better with a lot of bass behind it!
Just FYI, it doesn't matter how the box is put in the trunk, which way it is facing, or what color your car is, it will all hit the same. The biggest thing is to have a box made specifically for your subwoofer. My W6's require 1cu. foot of air space per sub. If there is less, it hits harder, if there is more its a softer sound. I am only putting one in my G37, I broke off my rearview mirror with two of them and even with one it falls down constantly haha.

Thanks for the info - you broke your rearview with bass? haha wow...you'd get along with a buddy of mine, I think he just likes all the bass because he has simply damaged his ear drums and cannot register low frequencies anymore. It sounds like a very large animal is trying to pass gas (in a basslike manner).
Anyway, I was looking into a 300W range for an amp, 500W is way too much and I'd never use it. It might be worth getting this 4080 box because it will prob cost most to get any of the local shops here to build me one.
For now, I'm using my buddy's amp and sub temporarily, just to get the wiring run. Then I'll upgrade to the right box, amp, sub etc.

Any updates on the 4080 boxes? I'm ready to get some solid bass response in my G. Trying to decide between custom built and pre-made. Anyone know a good custom shop in Dallas?

EDIT: I spoke to Ainslie a few minutes ago. He said that it would probably be just after the first of the year before they can begin development but that it should not take very long to have the finished products after that. Stay tuned...

Perhaps if all of us who intend to buy contact them they may make it a higher priority? I suggest that everyone from the forum who intends to actually buy one (or more) would email or call them it may get the ball rolling. Perhaps they might offer a group deal if there is enough interest expressed.

Ainslie is at CES this week so he probably won't check his email until Monday or so.
The G37 enclosure design has been on the drawing board for a while now and we need your input to narrow our options we have come up with down. I thought I knew what would be best for the G37, then I looked at the trunk and realized we might need to make some changes as it is REALLY small and we have some hidden areas that we might be able to take advantage of.
All of those that are interested, please email Ainslie with the setup that you are considering and your expectations. We know from the G35 what to expect, what our favorite setup is, and are trying to make sure you G37 owners have similar expectations.
A little more input is all we need to get it rollin' so I can make Black Betty's G smell good for a couple of days.
Thanks,
Nick
