although I dont really have a HUGE issue with the layout (I have a lease), why couldn't Infiniti include a light on the dash to let you know your lights are on?

^^look straight ahead, if your lights are on, than you can probably tell. also, your nav/status screen will turn to night mode if you have it set on auto when your lights turn on.

Probably? I think you just agreed with me that it could be easier, or at least there would be times when you would not be able to tell...

And I was thinking about times when there are torrential downpours and the light may/may not be all that visible, but at the same time ambient light drops low enough to may/may not turn on the auto lights...

you're reading way too much into the sarcasm guy.

there's enough idiot lights in the car IMO. i don't need one to tell me my headlights are on. now maybe one that indicates the fogs are on....
