If you were to order from this website it'll cost you $190 for the update..They even have the nerve to charge you $14 for shipping.

My dealer isn't what I would call accommodating.

I recieved the following email from Zenrin.com regarding nav updates:

Dear Customer,

We are still in the process of determining the update procedure for your vehicle. Please contact us March of next year as we should have information by then.

Thank you

Neeraj Chand

I was hoping for an update sooner rather than later but oh well.....

Just thought you guys would like to know.

Wow from the looks of the e-mail responses, I think we should just contact them in about 5 years, maybe then they will have the data, pricing and procedures down by then!! If you say it can be updated through the CF Slot, then the software can be copied, at worst maybe someONE can buy it and we can all chip in for a copy.. I don't think there would be ahuge problem having the service manager update the Nav for you for FREE, but if there's no new FEATURES I wouldn't bother with an update for at least 2-3 years..

Yeah if its from the CF slot, it does seem like something that can be copied or shared via the internet.

Since the new G is a 2008 model, Shouldn't we expect to have 2008 NAV data? I think we should all complain if their is a charge for the first update.

When I bought the car I mentioned to my buddy (salesman) that there was gonna be a nav update coming soon and asked how it would be handled. He told me to just bring it in and he'll take care of it.

If any one has taken delivery in the past 2 months, could you please post what NAV version you have? Mine; Sept delivery, 06-07 version. I am trying to determine if any G37 owners have the latest version, 07-08. Thanks.
