OEM Sport Springs VS OEM Non-Sport Springs VS Eibach Pro Kit
My 2012 G37 sedan (non-sport) is currently lowered on the Eibach Pro Kit. I'm beginning to feel the annoyance of having to slow down at every bump and going up/down driveways. Maybe it's time to change my springs to the OEM sport springs.
Does anyone know the difference in height from OEM non-sport VERSUS to OEM sport springs? And will the sport springs designed coupe fit on my sedan?
And any big difference from OEM sport springs VERSUS Eibach Pro Kit?
I'm currently running 20 x 8.5 all around and don't want it to look like it's raised, but do not mind a little gap.
Any input and help is greatly appreciated.

eibach lowers 1.25-1.5" from S springs. yes it looks much better on eibachs, especially with 15-20mm spacers, but i did tire of scraping on speedbumps and driveways. i miss the Z-spring setup from my old G35 sedan! that was a perfect compromise between looks/performance and practicality, lowering 1" or just under.
i went back to stock S springs, but then added the eibach sways. i am very happy with the current setup. would i like a slightly lower ride for the looks? sure, but as far as i know there is nothing available to get a milder drop then eibach springs - which is the mildest drop i believe. it was still too much for my liking.
as for the non-S springs, i can't be sure. never had them. most folks say the X models (which all have the non-S springs) do sit higher. not sure how much though.
for more info i suggest checking for facts in the Tech section, suspension forum.

Canucklehead, you installed the springs from a Nissan Z on your car? There is a local guy selling his OEM springs that came off his 2012 Nissan Nismo 370Z. Would this be a better solution in terms of performance and practicality than the "S" springs?

^ that was an awesome combo for the Gen-1 G sedan crowd. tons of 2003-2006 G sedan guys swapped out their stock springs for Z springs.
i do not know if the same swap is possible for the Gen-2 sedans. check in the Tech section, i'm sure that topic has been discussed. i remember seeing it in a thread or two. try the search function too!

Might look into Stance SS coilovers, should be able to drop it just as much as you want and they've use Swift springs, pretty good reviews from all I've read. These are true coilovers rather than the ones that use the lower control arm as the spring bucket.

AFAIK, there is no none. The height on the RWD Sedan is identical at 57.2", with or without the Sport Package. The differences in suspension between the two are in the struts and sway bars.

Question - on G35Driver, there is a thread that documents the spring rates of all the stock spring options for Sedans, Coupes and Zs. Where did that information come from originally? How does one get to the bottom of this as it would be good to know the various spring rates just as we did on the 1st gen.

Here's what I know for sure:
- The damping on the struts is different between the RWD-Sport and RWD-nonsport.
- The RWD-Sport Swaybars are more stiff than RWD-nonsport.
- The height of the RWD-Sport is identical to the RWD-nonsport.
- On the Maxima, the only difference between sport and non-sport was the swaybar and the struts.
Since the height is the same, and Nissan has a M.O. of struts & sways on sport packages, my assumption is the springs are identical sport/nonsport.
Which is why I said AFAIK. But I still wouldn't bet the farm on it.

The only thing I couldn't confirm is if it's the OEM type (the separate spring that goes in the lower control arm) or the true coilover, they make both so I think I'd contact Stance to get the proper part #. Both types have pros & cons, the OEM type is better supported since the shock is dispersed over a wider area but the true coilovers have more precise control since they're an integrated unit.
