This reprogram will reduce the severity of engine braking during decel, reduce the severity of the 2>1 down shift, reduce the amount of flare during the 3>4 and the 4>5 upshift and reduce the shudder/vibration that some feel during light acceleration.
It will also address certain transmission dtc's.

But bringing your car in without tranny issues and wanting a reflash of your tranny isn't really productive.

This. But if you don't feel like you are having any transmission issues, don't get it done. I feel like too many times people just want TSBs done. If you are having hard shift issues, and you bring it in and explain that, they will perform the TSB without you bringing it up. If you seriously have tranny issues and they don't do it, kindly make them aware of the TSB.

There is also the issue of bulletin remorse. Some reprogramming can change parameters too much and the client is even more unhappy.

Just based on reading from this forum, I assume a lot of G owners are having tranny issues one way or the other.

I did observe some harsh downshifts and upshifts at lower gears. Especially around 40mph. I have an appointment for oil change tomorrow morning...shall i mention about this to the service advisor or wait until we get more info on this bulletin?
