Stillen components produce less horse power
Guys,
I need your advise. I have a 2008 g37s (automatic) and had the dealer install $4200 dollars worth of Stillen parts.
I dyno'ed the car stock, before adding Stillen, and after 4 runs got 290hp.
After $4200 of installing Stillen parts I went to the same dyno and the best I got was 282hp.
I called Stillen HQ, they wouldn't do anything about it... saying "they've searched everywhere online and can't find a stock g37s pushing 290hp to begin with... so therefore they view the dyno as invaild."
The dyno equipment is a very expensive DynoDynamics and the same tech made all the runs. The dyno also automatically adjusts for atmospheric conditions etc.
What do you think? (Yes, I have the dyno charts)

- Stillen 304 Stainless Steel Headers
- Stillen Cat-Back Exhaust System
- Stillen Dual Exhaust System
- Stillen Cold Air Intake System (long tube)

Well all I was asking for was a refund and my old parts put back on the car. I guess I'll find out what my attorney says.
But one question.... are there any examples of a stock g37 automatic dyno-ing 290 hp? I'd like to debunk Stillen's argument in the first place.

no that sounds very high... ^ but all dynos read different and can be calibrated differently.. good luck on the refund but sorry bro i dont think its going to happen.

Exactly.... If its the same dyno it shouldn't matter.
And no I didn't flash or do anything to the ECU. I didn't want to do anything that would/could void the warranty.

So you didn't reset it then? hmmmm... I think you should, it doesnt void the warranty or anything if that's what you're worried about... The dyno shop didn't tell you to?

There is no way that you got 290whp stock on a dyno dynamics... I used dyno dynamics and they dyno low... You got ripped on your first dyno bro... do a lil dyno research and you will see what I mean...
I dynoed 251whp with HFCs on a dyno dynamics... use that for an example...
