I use a stealthcord which allows me to utilize the power from my rearview mirror (if you have Prem pkg)

Check out my thread from a few months ago.

I made a cord like the invisicord and hooked it to my rearview mirror.
Check out my thread from last year:

Most people here seem to use either the V1 or Escort 8500/9500. There have been a few threads about this recently. I had the V1 and yesterday got a 9500ix. Although not the most idea location I have mine in the left lower window so its out of the way and in a line of sight while I'm driving. Probably not the best location for picking up rear stuff.

Is there a DIY on installing the stealth cord into my rear-view mirror?

I have an Escort 8500, and it's by my rear view mirror. Stealth cord here I come..... The directions look easy and straight forward on their web site.

Owned three "top of the line" Escorts and they pale compared to the V1. Once you go arrows, you can't live without them.

While I wholeheartedly agree with your arrows comment. I'll further that comment in the other direction as I have been a long time V1 user and just got a 9500ix..

Once you get rid of all the false alarms with the 9500's GPS, you can't go back.

Now, if Valentine would add some of the features of the Escorts along with their arrows they'd have the market cornered!

actually 8500 + invisicord + mikes mount = best.

v1 has false alarms.
9500 has false gps alarms.
stealth cord is a rip-off of invisicord.
