Cobb test mule

Well the G is going to a Cobb tuner here in Portland .My appt is 9/30 and will be gone for a week .. Did a dyno today 285 hp kinda weak.. Thats with JWT intakes , Berk hfc and FastIntentions cat back with the new canisters .. So they are putting the car back to stock and than doing a base dyno and tune .. Than they are going to put on the catback and tune and so on to see what produces the most power na.. Finally they are going to dyno their intakes versus the jwt and we will see what happens .. This access port has been taking way to long and hopefully I will have good news for us G37 owners and Z owners too... The HR Z guys . Posting dyno and will keep you guys updated ..

Update 1

I dropped the car off today and was told some bad news....No Cobb intakes !!
The tuner said they are somewhere in China according to Cobb = Fail !!!!
So everything else is a go, have only two intakes instead of three stock and jwt ... Oh well ! Anyways they are still doing the access port and swapping na parts and when I know new info , you guys will know too ......:biggthump

I'm confused, Cobb's products are made in Salt Lake City, Utah I thought? Is it actually their intake, or another company's you're going to be testing?

I thought so too .. They where going to test stock , jwt and theirs to see what produces the most hp. So now its just stock and my jwt .. I spoke to tuner again and he said the Cobb intakes are on the slow boat to the us .. It wont happen this week but when they do arrive he is putting them on my G for more testing .. We will see ????????

Most manufacturing is done in China or other Asian countries. ;-)

I am glad they are testing it with the JWTs because that's what I have on. Can't wait until this is released.

Good luck.

Update 2

WOW! what a day!!
A lot of you JWT fans are going to be pissed. Are you ready?
JWT results with highflow cats, FI catback exhaust, 285 hp and 232 lbs of torque, stock intakes...are you ready? 287 hp, 249 lbs of torque. Both intakes had 5 pulls a piece. With my set-up, highflow cats, FI catback exhaust the stock intakes yielded the most gains. Also, Tim who is the COBB tuner says his mustang dyno reads 5 - 7% less than a dynojet dyno. He believes with a tune, he can crack 300 hp and gain another 15 lbs of torque on my setup. These runs are without a tune , just base.

I was really surprised...I know you guys will voice or type your opinions on this one. I'm posting pics and will be receiving email in regards to the dyno results. I will post when I receive the info. I will continue to update as I get more info.
