Angry Removing Tail Lights! Frustrated!

I'm trying to remove the tail lights of my G37. I removed three nuts from the back, but there is something else that seems to holding it in. Does anybody have pics or instructions on how to do that??I looked at the els.pdf (from the service manual), page 200. Didn't help much. Still feels like something is holding them in. I tried pulling..my fingers hurt now, plus I can't get a good grip on it. Getting really really frustrated.

Thanks,

Mike

yeah, and turn signal bulb too. There are two non-led bulbs in each of the break lights. I've seen this done on a car, it looks beyond good

I had this same issue and was told that you just have to pull hard. There are clips that are holding it on. I ended up leaving it alone because in the serivce manual they recommend replacing the clips when you remove the tail lights. I didn't have any repalcements handy and I was afraid I would break one.
So pull hard and hope for the best!!
If it works let me know. I want to put LED's back there too!!!

Guys, so I got the light off. Ended up taking off the top covers just to yank them out. Top covers are sticky taped (mostly), so it was pretty easy to take them off. I would recommend another possible solution. When you unscrew the nust that hold the light in place, try to get a small but strog wire behind the light, and then pull on the wire to yank it out. I used New 9 Led SMT Tower II 194 168 W5W 2825 from here: http://autolumination.com/194.htm as reverse bulbs. But I think it might be too dim. So I ordered 194 168 W5W 2825 SMT Tower III. I don't know if tower 3 will fit, but I'll see.

yeah. I'm still waiting for turn signals to come in from superbrightleds. Btw, on the pics, the fatter bulb is the turn signal.

Turn signal bulb markings: ICHIKOH 12V 21W 2DX W21W 7HP 7440

Reverse light bulb markings: TOSHIBA 921 12V W16W 21B A12V18W

Sorry to break it to you, but I sure hope you bought resistors for those turn signal bulbs. When you install an LED bulb in place of where originally was an incandescent, every time you activate your turn signal, your turn signal is going to flash like if it was on steroids. Its going to flash very rapidly. That IMO looks very ghetto. I for one, would never replace turn signal bulbs with LEDs, for the simple reason that those tiny little LED's are nowhere near as bright as one big incandescent bulb. Unless you are making a custom array of LED's, its not worth it for the turn signals. You'll be finding out the hardway tho....
