Self Check

Don't know if this is old news or not, but I accidentally found the buttons to push for the self diagnotics on the car. If you turn off the audio system after you start the car, you press the settings button and then turn the volume **** either clockwise or counter clockwise about 40 clicks it will set up in the seld check mode. You can check everything in the car from here. Its very cool. One of the things I like the most is in the camera setting theres a setting to ajust the angle of the camera and if you keep it there the camera will stay on as you are driving forward. I know kind of dumb but interest at the very least. Sorry again if this is old news just thought I would share. BTW this is for the Navigation package.

Sorry man, I will try to explain again, Start your car and turn off the audio system by pushing the button off, New Press and hold in the setting button on your navigation and turn the volume button and the audio system either way for about 40 clicks. You can turn it fast if you like (took about 4 complete turns on the **** for the system to show up on the screen). Hopefully that will help if now let me know and I will go to my car with my lap top and give you step by step instructions. ( Yeah I just went to my car and it works very easy and fast). Again just hold down the setting button on the navigation after you and turned on the car and turned off the audio system. When it shows up hit the confirmations button and wow all the things that come up. It even has and speaker test bluetooth test satellite test, etc. Everything to your car is on here. Way more advanced then the g35 test. I'm sure we are not to know about this but now we do. lol

Do a better write up and post in the DIY forum, I'll be glad to do it for you if you'd like. Good find though!

1) With key in car/pocket, press the ignition button twice (car does not have to be started)
2) Turn off radio
3) Press a hold 'Settings' button and simultaneously turn the volume **** clockwise until Self-Diagnostic screen appears.

Simple as that not counting haha

Page 20 of AV.pdf

1. Start the engine.
2. Turn the audio system OFF.
3. While pressing the “SETTING” button, turn the volume control
dial clockwise or counterclockwise for 40 clicks or more. (When
the self-diagnosis mode is started, a short beep will be heard.)
