Just had EVOs installed - will certainly share my experiences as they become available.

It may be helpful to point out that I bought my staggered set-up (245/275) on eBay... with proper timing, a savvy consumer can get all 4 delivered for $614.00

What I can say this early in the game is that the look of these beefier shoes on the stock 19s is awesome.

I just got EVOs from Tire Rack and had them installed. I am no expert and I don't know how bad my old tires were but these new tires (and the larger size) are great. The ride seems much smoother and accelaration is noticeably quicker and more responsive.

There are three grooves at the transition from sidewall to shoulder tread blocks on the inside and outside that follow the circumference of the tire. I dont recall reading anything about their purpose, but from what I saw when I took mine off after about 7k miles is that on one of 3 tires (my front passenger) I was experiencing a difference in inner tire wear vs the others.

Here's a large picture that shows the grooves, I'm missing the one closest to what would be the contact patch, but on the inside tread:

The others look as good as new, so I plan on visiting the shop I took everything to for alignment to see if they can work it out. I'm curious if its a difference in the alignment from me being in the car or not.

Thanks for the info. Let us know what you find out and what your alignment setting are when they check!

im considering these tires as replacements for the oem potenzas. would 245/45/19 in front and 275/40/19 in back still work on the OEM wheels without any issues?
