Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta vs stock Tires
After having these on my G for about 3+ months I've decided to give the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires my personal review.
This review is based on these tires vs the stock OEM sport tires (Bridgestone Potenza) that come with our Gs. Also to note this review is comparing 2 size tires so more gription isn't evaluated since its obvious. I've left out the stock specs since its not needed.
Tire Brand: Vredestein
Tire Model: Ultrac Sessanta
Size of Tires: 20/245/35-front 20/275/30-rear
Tire Mlieage: 60,000
My Review:
1) Tire Handling - Dry Conditions: Excellent! - Predictable when breaking gription.
2) Tire Handling - Wet Conditions: Excellent! - Wow It almost seems better wet.
3) Tire Noise - Windows Down: Quieter than the Stock tires.
4) Tire Noise - Windows Up: Quieter than the Stock tires.
5) Ride Comfort: Compared to the stock 19s and coming down in tire aspect ratio size (lower profile tires) Just as comfortable! This didn't get harder. Very impressed with the ride comfort.
6) Tire Design: Very Nice. These tires also have a slight curve for tucking under wheel well edge as well as a beaded edge to protect the rims edge. Traction pattern grabs attention.
7) Tire Wear: Good for light driving. Fronts have great tread still... can't say the same for the rear
8) Cost: Very Affordable! - Can you say $780.00 shipped from across the USA.
Overall the cost and equally(and I say that since the stock tires have a smaller footing) great or even better handling, sound and ride comfort has me sold on buying these tires from here on. Unless your racing/tracking your G(haven't tested on the track) these tires are perfect for the street. I drive a bit spirited(haha a bit!) and I have no issues whatsoever with them. The Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires definitely are a great buy for the money and I don't think anyone would be disappointed with them for the street.
My 2Cents!

There's something I don't understand. From the picture in the original posting, it appears that the tread pattern will be different for the left and right wheels. Is the picture wrong, or is this the way they really are?

Yeah the treads are asym, but apparently it's intentional.
I've had these tires for about 4,000 miles, and they are very very noticeably stickier on both wet and dry pavement. After about 10k on the stocks, I found it quite easy to peel out, or powerslide/drift. These tires are much more resistant to spinning, and I feel they make the car much more stable at takeoff.
2 Thumbs up )

I would imagine so. (275 width/30 height - aspect ratio rear tires) and (245 width/35 height- aspect ratio front tires) should be good to go. Tires are slightly curved to tuck under fender. No rubbing issues with full car on Eibach Pro!
Note: Those heights - aspect ratio are perfect for 20s - that sizing in height is the closest to stock overall diameter ratio. Thats' coming down from the stock tires aspect ration of (Rear - 40) and (Front - 45) by 10.
