black on black? powdercoat stock rims?

Im thinking about it for my 086mtcoupe

probably gonna go for a glossy black powder coat

anyone on here done that? or have links/pics to ones that have that done? i dunno how good it would look with the stock rims.. should i go with matte black?

also.. i heard it chips easily? is that true?

there's a guy who had a BO and powdercoated his wheels gloss black with a red pin stripe around the rim, like the time attacks... looked pretty good.. should be somewhere in the picture share section

Look at Elite's thread, where he photoshopped the stockies black on a bunch of G's.

Heat's wheels are also PC'd

Thats what i plan on eventually doing to my car too when i get time. But i'm thinking more of a gunmetal color

Never been a fan of PCing our stock rims. Think they look best as is.
Black aftermarket rims >> PC Stock 19s

well i need to do it because i got stuck in the mud last year and my rear wheels are all scratched up. it drives me nuts!

There's a difference between Powder Coating & Painting man.. Unless you have an oven for your wheels and a sand blaster, I wouldn't recommend you powder coat.. get it done professionaly, save the headache and chance of f'ing them up.. Good luck

Elite's are gunmetal on BO.

Mine are Gloss Black on AG.

G37Sam's are Gloss Black w/ color match time attack on AG.

No one that I know has Matte black on their G37. You would prob be the first.

PC looks and lasts much better than paint. Get it done professionally from a place that warranties their work.
