Deciding on new vehicle

I am looking into a new vehicle about this time next year. I know a lot of things can happen in 365 days BUT I am looking to an M35/45 to replace my '06 G35X. Well while I was having some minor repairs done at my dealer, I talked to a salesman. Much to my disappointment, it appears that Infiniti is pairing with XM radio and not Sirius. As a cable TV music station said at 1 time, "I want my Sirius!"

I don't want to modify the vehicle with aftermarket junk. Are the Sirius receiver and XM receiver in the M interchangable? I hope this problem won't make me jump the Infiniti Ship. The alternatives, BMW 535I or Jag S 4.2 are about the same price but the Infiniti M has some real nice appointments that the others don't.

The believe the change might be 08 onwards... but you should be able to get sirius if you wanted... i am sure there will be a work around for that.

Also... just for sirius you are ready to jump the gun ... thats a first for me.... i kinda hate both xm or sirius.... the signal cuts of (even if its for a second) when going under a birdge/overpass.... i keep finding my self trying to jump to other channels all the time ... i am surely going to cancel my service pretty soon... its just not worth it ... i rather enjoy listening to the MP3s.
