Here goes the people saying they bought the championship. No they earned it. They have been the highest paid team since 2000 and they did not get on until now, so how did they buy a championship? Just admit it, this is a really good team. All around good playoff perforamance and I am glad to see Godzilla win the MVP. Too all the haters, it's number 27! Champions again.

Congrats guys, I hate the Yankees but the were untouchable this season. I think its great to win it in the first year of the stadium, talk about living up to the hype

x2 They spent the money and got the players which is acceptable just sucks for teams that can not and will always stink. They were a force from day 1 this year. Interested to see if they get Cliff Lee now lol.



I dislike baseball simply because there is no salary cap (and it's very slow paced and boring). Luckily the Sox are one of the teams that spend and will always be in the post season hunt but that doesn't mean I'd much prefer an evenly balanced league with caps, such as the NFL.

They earned it?? Really?? Give me 200+ million and I could build a championship MLB team, baseballs is a freaking joke. OBV. they were highest paid team since 2000, so the fact it took them this long to win it all is a joke. Go celebrate your "hard earned" championship and continue to fool yourself into believing they earned anything beyond the millions $$$$ from the jokers that support them fools, LMAO!!

Once again you are just commenting on false facts like you did awhile back in the basketball thread. The Yankees had there struggles, in April A-Rod was on the DL and they had 22 runs scored on them in the new stadium
and all the Yankee haters started talking sh!t
they struggled in April to about mid May,
and once again the haters where talking sh!t, they where I think about 7 games behind first place before they went on a 9 game winning streak in May.
So when they where struggling the non Yankees fans where saying what a dissapointment they are, and for that money spent they should be a lot better.
So now when they win it all, it's "they bought the championship".
They went through some struggles, a main piece of the team was injured,
they where able to put it all together and beat some other good teams to win it all.

Your just throwing those comments out there because your from Florida,
and the Marlins where able to win it without having to spend that much money.
So obviously that proves that just because you have a high payroll that doesn't mean your going to win the World Series.

Clearly you know nothing about sports and absolutely nothing about spending $200 million dollars. You wish you had $200 million to buy all the depressed real estate in your nieghborhood! I guess I would be unhappy if my home was worth 25% of what I paid for it and all of my nieghbors have been foreclosed on. I have a friend that lives in a 33 story high rise, in the same state that you live in Florida, with over 250 residences and there are 30 of them occupied. This kind of financial debacle is all over that place and your telling me about wasting money. Get a life. Let me see the next time Florida builds a $1.5 Billion stadium, let alone 2. That's what winners do! New York has winners. Florida has foreclosures.

If I was the Yankees brass I would do the same exact thing if the system allowed me to, it's the system that is a joke and the fact that the Yankees can afford to spend 200+ million is what I hate. As for trying to personally attack me, over a simple jab at MLB and the Yankees I'm not even going to bother responding to that garbage, I don't get personal in these forums, never have and never will, it's all in good fun on my end, it's just a game and we have our opinions, (OBV. different ones).

why just hate on the yankees for WANTING to spend money to win. ANY team in baseball can spend as much as they want to....but they choose not to. the owners would rather pocket their money and spend it else where.

it would be awesome if matsui sign with the mariners to play along side with ichiro.
