true, that sh*t was nasty! even dana white was like "that's the bloodiest UF fight i've seen." should be an excellent season, Rampage and Rashad are both funny dudes and they dont like each other

That sucks. He's jeopardized his UFC career for a movie that's going to be a sure flop.

I respect MMA as an art but can't really follow it as a sport cuz 1, what league do you follow? 2. every week there's another BIG championship fight #100 and and something, it's a joke, 3. no star power either. let these big boy stay on their feet and folow a couple of rules.

Yeah it's popular just like WWF once was, big deal I see it fading in a few more years unless they introduce weapons LOL! whats the upside?
SERIOUSLY these guys are athletes like no other in their own regards! Im not tough by any means but i trained for a week and quickly learned there is SOOOOOO much i did not know, I thought it was just freak out on my opponent and bash their face in! There is a lot of technique involved all the way down the breathing. its a sport...

and btw boxing is dead lol

Actually your incorrect. There is way more money in boxing. Boxing fans are generally an older more established crowd, more willing to spend $$$, buy the expensive seats, buy ppv's. MMA fans are generally younger with less money in there pockets.
Boxing ppv's easily reach into the millions, where as an average ufc event is 4-500,000.
High level boxers, make millions a fight where high level mma fighters make hundreds of thousands. That being said im a die hard mma fan. I watch everything i can get my hands on. I find boxing boring and a dying sport. Id rather watch golf.

I would have to say that the Boxing scene is still there, but like amoney805 said, for the more established crowd... not to mention that Boxing is a key tool for MMA fighting... but you also have to admit MMA is one the fastest, if not the fastest growing sport in the world ! And it attracts crowds of people from different ages !

But back to the subject, Kimbo IMO has alot to prove in the world of MMA and he has been working his ground game, he fights this coming week, and it should be an interesting fight ! Another fighter whose on the show who hasnt been paid much credit to is Roy Nelson, he may not look in shape, but he sure did kick alot of *** in the IFL, youtube it ! This season of Ultimate Fighter is off the hook, the fighters are game, the coaches are at their throats, the first fight ended in a bloody mess, we dont have to pay for damn PPV to see all this **** what more can you ask for ! TUF 10: Heavy Weights !

Roy "big country" nelson is a good fighter but I dont think he can hold his own with ufc level fighters. He did well in the IFL but he got his *** handed to him by Andre Arlovski.

Haha, don't clown on golf! I'd rather watch a good round of golf than boxing.

But yes, like someone said above, I can't wait to see Kimbo fight. This is probably going to be the best TUF yet, and it's nice since it doesn't really have much to do w/ Kimbo...it'd still be good without him anyway.

You guys are all kinda talking out of your ***.. I train, and have been doing it for 2 years @ HOC. Your not a fighter. No one is. Your conditioned/trained to be one. Kimbo has a step above everyone else. He's a self taught fighter, so if he uses his knowledge and combines it with everything he's learning as he trains he will be good. You guys swear hes gonna go into the 8gon without training and stuff. I've beat the **** out of many dudes at school or on the street, but when i started training i would get my socks rocked, but you train and you learn. Then your street fighting skills come in handy..

RAMPAGE RETIRED!!??!! WTF NOOOOO

In an announcement leaving many of his fans in shock, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson informed the world earlier today via his website that he is walking away from Mixed Martial Arts in order to concentrate on his acting career.

The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion explained the primary motivation for his decision is a lack of respect on the part of UFC President Dana White, as well as a need to focus on providing for his family.

The following is Jackson’s word-for-word account of the situation:

The UFC has done a lot for me but I think I have done more for them. The UFC bought WFA to get my contract & they saved my life, so I felt loyal to them. They pushed me into a fight with Chuck Liddell even when I clearly stated I wasn’t ready to fight for the belt because the American fans didn’t know me but I took the fight and didn’t complain & after I won the American fans booed me for the first time which changed the way I saw them and it hurt me deeply.

Then before I can even get out of the cage they announced that I was fighting Dan Henderson without even asking me. After I beat Dan Henderson, I made history in becoming the first undisputed champion in MMA but was never even given the pride belt in the cage & I was never promoted as the undisputed champ. Later Anderson Silva was.

Then they had me coach TUF season 7 and fight Forrest and the fight was very controversial & normally when a fight is that close and controversial there is normally an instant replay. I can name a couple of instances. Instead they offered me the Wanderlei Silva fight which I gladly accepted even though I know it was a very risky fight for me to take because of all the drama that was happening to me at the time. I fought that fight with a jaw injury and then a couple weeks later Dana called me and asked me to fight Rashad. For the first time I said no, I didn’t want to fight because it was such short notice & I wouldn’t have had a long break between camps. Dana talked me into fighting Rashad anyway but Rashad refused the fight and so I had to fight Jardine as a favor to the UFC instead of getting my belt back (which wasn’t even worth it to me financially).

Then I reinjured my jaw in the fight with Wanderlei & Jardine. Frank Mir gets hurt so they wanted to switch my fight from UFC 100 to the fight Frank couldn’t make it to but I couldn’t fight cause I needed jaw surgery. So they give Machida the fight against Rashad & they told me they want me to coach TUF season 10 against Rashad. That’s why I wanted Rashad to win so bad but when Rashad got knocked out I told them I wanted to fight Machida for the belt but Dana told me if I coach TUF against Rashad that I could fight Machida afterwards cause this was a different type of ultimate fighter show they were doing. After I signed the contract Dana then changes his mind & says I have to fight Rashad & even told me what to say in the press and so my fans think I was scared to fight Machida. After all that I still never complained and I did it all.

Then this movie role came about that I have been trying to get for over a year and as soon as I found out I was close to getting it, I called Dana right away and asked to push the Memphis fight back just a month or so. I told him what this movie role meant to me. I told him that I used to bond with my father watching the TV show as a kid when my parents where still married & it represents the memories I had with my father when we lived together. My dad became an alcoholic and addicted to drugs and we grew apart. But after my dad got his life back together, I was so proud of my dad and I told him I would always take care of him in the future & make him proud of me. My dad and I are still very big fans of the show & I am basically doing this for the childhood memories I had spending time in front of the TV with my dad. Dana went on the internet & mocked me because of that and I still did nothing. Dana and I finally talked and we made up and then after that he went back on the internet and said some bull**** and he was talking bad about the movie when information is not even supposed to be released and talking about payments which is not even true could really hurt my future acting career, which could very well last longer than my fighting career. I’m not like Randy Couture. My body has been getting so many different injuries that I wont be able to fight until my forties and neither do I want to fight that long. So I feel like my second career could be in jeopardy… so I’m done fighting. I’ve been getting negative reviews from the dumb *** fans that don’t pay my bills or put my kids though college. So I’m hanging it up. I’m gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they’ll follow me to my new career and I will gain more loyal fans along the way. And all you hater fans out there can kiss my big black hairy ***! And anybody that don’t like what I just said can come try to kick my ***!

I still feel the UFC is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn’t respect my loyalty but I wish the UFC the best. I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for and that’s all that matters to me!

First of all on the rampage note**
-that's facking crazy, come on rampage use some common sense ! You know your not an actor! You can barely read and speak in complete sentences. I really think he's going to reconsider. He's probably going through some rough shiit and is making thoughtless choices for *now*

As for the latest episode of TUF. That was a good fight with Mcsweeny and the guy from Roky. I think rampages team is shiit except for kimbo lol. Rampage doesn't seem to coach his guys very well. I swear kimbo better win this fight against Roy "nobody" Nelson. All the talk and hype about kimbo ! He better rock this guy, seriously. If kimbo gets beat I'm not going to defend him anymore like I always have... Done -.-

damn VONYC you got results already ? just watching the show now... your right on the part with Rampage not really coaching his fighters so well... he really seems to focus on Kimbo alot... well hopefully it pays off and Kimbo goes all the way... and as far as Rampage retiring... I dont think its a wise decision to go into acting... he can barely speak on TUF ! Maybe he's just tired of all the training and beating, getting ready for the fight... we'll just have to wait and see... More to come on The Ultimate Fighter !
