Lucky or not, the 'Canes pulled it out. That was one of the best games I have seen in many years. LSU, WTF. I could not watch it, since I was at a wedding, but I read the reports and looked at the box and boy was I surprised. Washington has not won in 18 games and you would have not know it by that performance. The streak is about to end. Maybe we can hope they break it playing USC.

The Tigers looked really bad against Vandy, especially on defense. Florida is going to crush us if we play like we have in the first 2 games.

A few firsts for me this past Saturday. First time I have ever sat in row FF of the upper east side deck (highest row in Tiger Stadium). I got altitude sickness. Damn it's high up there. First time I have ever been rained on in Death Valley on a Saturday night. In over 30 years of attending games, never more than a brief drizzle during a night game. We got a downpour and it was wonderful. First time I'd ever met Bert Jones. There was a reunion of Cholly Mac's boy's and over 300 of them were on campus for the weekend. All of the first team All Americans during his tenure were honorary captains for the game and I met Bert Jones and Tommy Cassanova. Shaq was at he game and got a huge reception from the crowd. The student section was as awesome as ever filling up 2 hours before kickoff; I miss being able to site there.

Tiger Stadium with the House that Pete Maravich Built in the background. You can see a glimpse of Bernie Moore track with the lights on in the background and further back the Mississippi river. That's where I ran collegiate track. Shaq being introduce on the big screen.

2 hours before? we used to get there about 3 to 3.5 hours before and claim one of the top rows...

it really sucked getting popped in the head with a full 32oz soda after a touchdown. so it was better to be at the top with the people throwing them.

we didn't throw ours though... you just don't waste Crown that way.. no sir.

yeah called nosebleed seats for a reason, but glad u had fun, it was a good weekend for games overall, texas had a slight scare but overcame, sucked usc won at the end, purdue/oregon was a great game, etcetc, overall i watched close to 12hrs of football or football related programming this last saturday
