Hey, BB, sorry I'm late jumping in here.

I watched every minute of that game as well.

I will say this:

LSU is the only team that has a pair of balls.

Grossman is all I'll say. Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Guy throws more passes to the crowd than his own team. Correction, he threw more passes to the crowd. Thankfully the Bear's stopped the bleeding.

But yeah, Jamarcus Russell he was a heisman winner? Um yeah, I'd say Running Backs or Wide Recievers only should be up for Heisman's. Most of the yardage that the QB get is from the banging and grinding up the field by these guys. I love the running backs, nothing like watching Duece Mcalister (pre-ankle break), or Adrian Petersen tuck that head and just plow through a huge defensive line like a runaway frieght train.

Here's a list of Heisman winning QB's since 1980. I know the trophy represents the best college football player, but these guys suck ballz at the next level compared to every other position that wins the trophy. Which of these guys have set the NFL on fire?

2007 Tim Tebow Florida
2006 Troy Smith Ohio State
2004 Matt Leinart USC
2003 Jason White Oklahoma
2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska
2000 Chris Weinke Florida State
1996 Danny Wuerffel Florida
1993 Charlie Ward Florida State
1992 Gino Torretta Miami
1990 Ty Detmer Brigham Young
1989 Andre Ware Houston
1986 Vinny Testaverde Miami
1984 Doug Flutie Boston College

Not exactly a list of Hall of Famers.

He wasn't an embarassment but he wasn't that good either. Remember that he didn't get an NFL job until he's played in Canada for a few years. Testaverde was a solid NFL QB with a good career. Charlie Ward was a pretty good point guard. Leinart's legacy remains to be seen as does Carson Plamer's.

Taking a look at the running backs who won it in the same period is a list of some solid players, all time greats, and Hall of Famers.

2005 Reggie Bush USC
1999 Ron Dayne Wisconsin
1995 Eddie George Ohio State
1994 Rashaan Salaam Colorado
1988 Barry Sanders Oklahoma State
1985 Bo Jackson Auburn
1983 Mike Rozier Nebraska
1982 Herschel Walker Georgia
1981 Marcus Allen Southern California
1980 George Rogers South Carolina

I'm going to be at Ducks v. Hurricane's on sunday. You may say Socal doesn't know how to play hockey. That's why we buy Canadian's and transport their pale asses to sunny CA.

Of course, I'm maybe one of a few socaler's that play Ice Hockey (you won't see me in the NHL anytime soon), always great walking out of a 40 degree rink into 90 degree socal summer heat.
