good luck. just don't get into bad habits early on. It can be difficult to unlearn them once you start grooving that swing.

Got my clubs and tested them out this weekend. Not bad. Stupid arms and forearms are tired now. Just bought a wedge set too since mine didn't come with a sand wedge.

Got new irons this weekend. TM r7 Draws. I'm hoping to get into the mid 80's this summer. I'm usually at 88-93 now. All I need is a Hybrid Club and a 58° wedge and my set will be complete.

58? You're better off going for a 60 low bounce.

Was it a no bounce lob wedge? I have both but always use the bounce lob in the fairway. I just see no point really in getting a 58, most sand wedges are 56 and two degrees isn't worth grabbing another club for vs. going up to a 60 degree wedge. But in all honesty those clubs are hard to hit for many reasons. I tend to only skull the ball when I look up or rush the shot any other time I can hit it perfect with no problems. Don't blame it on the club

TAYLORMADE
ADIDAS END OF STORY. But seriously, Taylormade and Adidas are the superior brand imo. Fook Nike. Except their street shoes ![]() For Wedges, get a 54/56 and 60, recommended a TaylorMade Z Groove Wedges. Really good. Irons, you can go HT's (cheap beginners irons) or buy any TaylorMade irons that are forgiving or for beginners (almost all of them are really forgiving for those beginner players except the blades and MB's) Driver, get a Burner 10.5 S flex or if your a fast swinger grab a X. Burner is a great beginner club, make sure you dont get TP, less forgiving. Putter, 2 ball putter is awsome for a beginner by odyseey, lines up well, good balanced.

On average I'm about an 8. Most days I'm right on target, others I'm around a 12
![]() I've been playing really well lately, about to purchase a new set of irons, wedges, fairway woods the whole nine. I wish it was season down here, it's impossible to find clubs to Demo I can actually play with unless Taylor Made has a Demo day at my Country Club. Guess I'll have to wait til September/October til those damn snow birds come crowd up my city. |

Driver Recommendations
Right now I am using a Nike SQ 9.5 and I'm trying to find a new driver that is worth getting. I have demo'd several new ones but none seem to anything for me to warrant their price tags.
So far: - Taylor Made Tour Burner TP 8.5/9.5 (S) - Ping G10 9.5 (S) - Titleist 907 D2 9 (S) I don't seem to gain any distance from them. I swing around 105MPH on average. Today I picked up a Callaway Ft-F 8.5 (S) and I nailed it 305 on the fly 330 total, a good 15 yards further than the others I have tried. There really aren't any other clubs I can try and since this club is now only about $250 I'm thinking of buying it.. Has anyone had any luck gaining a little more from a different driver? I know all I can really do is swing faster but there's no way I'm going to be up around 130MPH anytime soon. |
