Gay marriage: Are you for or against it?

so, some of you might know that gay marriage is banned all across the country.

I for one is FOR gay sex marriage. I feel that anyone/anything should decide on what they want to do with their lives, not what the government or RELIGION. shait, why the f does religion have any say in anything? because god says that, so that means its true? what if he wrote in his "bible" that everyone should go jump off a cliff and kill them self because or else god will send you to hell.

we should really take religion out of the state. it has no room for that shiat.

I don't believe in gay marriage...but i do believe America is about freedom and being able to do whatever you want unless it harms others.

I voted NO on prop 8 in california. To clarify for those not aware of the wording, to vote no means the law stays as is, and same sex couples can be married, same as hetrosexual couples.
In CA they pull this BS propaganda that if you vote no on prop. 8, gay marriage would be taught to children in schools. This is totally bogus, I never even learned about regular marriage when I was in schools. Please if someone could tell me what grade they were in when the teacher explained marriage? Anyone? Didn't think so.
Unfortunately there must be a lot of homophobes in CA or something because they voted yes to ban gay marriage. I ask what does it matter to you if gay couples want to get married, are you so insecure in your own marriage that you have to make other people suffer? I'm just so pissed at these stupid ignorant people that hide behind church and family because they are to chicken sh*t to just say they don't like gay people. If that's your view step up to the plate.
I have no problems and have some gay friends, so the rest of you are just ignorant that think different.

Marriage is a religious bond. I am against it and I'm not even religious. I have no problem however with a gay couple having a legal union and having all the rights afforded to married couples and granted as American citizens. Lets face it, Gay folks are seeking acceptance through this.. there is NO legal difference between marriage and a legal agreement.. they are FORCING their lifestyle on those who's religion would choose not to accept it as a normal lifestyle. You can't put a square peg in a round hole.. nature is it's own proof.

Your thoughts are in agreement with mine. Marriage is a religious union. If you want to throw religion out then you also have to throw out "marriage". If one wants a legal union then that's up to them. I am against it but I beleive in people having the freedom to chose what they want as such as it does not impose upon the rights of others. There are some marriage benefits however that I don't think gay unions should have. I think that raising children is best left to sound unions between men and women. I also think that not all people should be having children (gay or straight).

This is the biggest crock of BS, I know a gay male couple that adopted two black children that otherwise would have lived in a crack house and maybe on the streets. These children now have a life that one would dream about, they go to good schools, live in Yorba Linda which is a REALLY nice suburban neighborhood in Orange County.
